What we breed for in our lambs.
The traits we look for in our lambs are what we look for in the adults, so for an in-depth read on what we look for in our rams vs ewes, please visit our ram and ewe pages.
With any of our lambs we are looking for quality examples of the Icelandic breed as a whole. We do our best to breed up with every generation, slowly improving the American Icelandic one generation at a time. Our goal is that the lambs are somewhat improved from their parents if the pairing was successful, or at least the same quality.
We are looking for healthy, thrifty lambs that are resistant to parasites and Pneumonia, and grow swiftly on little inputs. If a lamb is needing constant extra supplementation, worming, or extra care, this does not further the breed.
We of course are looking for good carcass builds. We want deep, broad chests, wide loins, chunky butts, smooth shoulders and a nice straight backline with good muscling throughout the body. We want fast growth so lambs are reaching a good weight to breed or butcher lambs. We want good dairy for helping grow larger lambs. We want good fleece whenever possible to have the nice wool to work with.
Then of course there is personality. We want calmer lambs if possible, but they must at least be respectful and not bounce off the walls crazy.
We will also breed for good horns whenever possible, but will keep a lamb with tighter horns if he or she is otherwise an excellent sheep.

On this page you will see all the lambs on the farm while they are still on the farm. As they are sold, or otherwise are not around any longer, we will be removing them from the page.
NOT ALL LAMBS ON THIS PAGE WILL BE AVAILABLE.
This is very important. This page gives you a brief look into each lamb, but not all lambs are high enough quality we would sell. We only sell a handful of lambs each year to ensure quality. On top of that, we also keep several of our best stock each year to further our flock as well. Our dedication to quality and betterment of the breed means we are very choosy who goes out into the world from our farm.
We always retain the right to change a lambs availability status if we find a lamb no longer meets our standards for being sold, or if for some reason we end up needing that individual for our breeding program. Accidents do happen amongst adults, so sometimes we need to keep a lamb to replace flock members we didn’t anticipate. We are always very open to discussion about each lamb, so if you do not see a red NFS, feel free to enquire about the lamb. Some lambs we may just be undecided on at the time.
We are always very open to answering any questions and giving you as much information as possible while choosing your lambs, so please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
Current Ewe Lambs of 2026
Æsa (NFS)
Single Moorit Grey Mouflon ewe lamb out of Firefly Hollow McLeod and Lingerfold Amaranth (Ásný). She is an F3 Prudur and Fjalldrapi daughter, and F4 Blettur, Gramman, Vali, and Salamon daughter. She is a lovely lamb with a good long body, good chest width, straight and correct legs, good feet. Her general conformation is very nice from what we can tell, and should have a good muscular build. She has needed no worming thus far, no runny nose, no cough, no Pneumonia or any other ailments. She is growing well. Her wool may turn out average, but it may also be on the nicer side of average. Horns look to be wide. She is a calm lamb, and does not mind being close to us while we work in the pasture. We paired her parents looking for a chunky build, which she has, and we hoped for a bit of a dairy upgrade from her sire’s side of the family. Ásný has nice dairy, but we’d love to see it even better. Time will tell if she got a dairy upgrade or not. Her growth is better than her half-sister Aylsa from last year.

Aaliyah
Twin Black Grey Badgerface Ewe lamb out of Hardy Stock Faniel and Isafold Depill. She is unregistered. This lamb we are not keeping. There is things to like about her, but we have decided to end this line as it just isn’t fixing in the areas we’ve tried fixing, and then with Faniel rejecting Aaliyah’s brother this spring, this made us choose to no longer further this line. Aaliyah does have some nice wool, she seems healthy as that line has shown to be in the past, and she is nicely put together. However, she is not growing very fast as a single, and she has her mother’s super flighty personality. This line has continued to produce flighty offspring, and it seems we can’t get it bred out of them. Both she and her brother were born small, and her brother did not do well on a bottle. Faniel was never the best of this line to begin with, and so we will be retiring the whole of the line including Aaliyah this fall.

Blessun (NFS)
White ewe out of Hardy Stock Finn and Echo Hill Brenna. She is white over black with some lovely Phaeo giving her face a shining gold look. She is from a smaller first time mom with twins, so neither she nor her sister are the largest, yet they have a lot to like about them. Her conformation is very balanced, and her wool promises to be nice. It’s hard to say what dairy is like in this line, with Brenna being average as a first freshener, and Brenna’s mothers dairy being unknown. Finn’s dairy potential is unknown. She will hopefully get the chunkier build of her mother with some length from her father. So far she seems to be doing just that. She will likely have crazy wide horns as both her parents do. Her legs and feet are straight and healthy. No worming needed, no respiratory issues thus far. Brenna is very maternal and keeps her lambs glued to her side always.

Twin White ewe out of Hardy Stock Finn and Echo Hill Brenna. She is from a smaller first time mom with twins, so neither she nor her sister are the largest, yet they have a lot to like about them. Her conformation is very balanced, and her wool promises to be nice. It’s hard to say what dairy is like in this line, with Brenna being average as a first freshener, and Brenna’s mothers dairy being unknown. Finn’s dairy potential is unknown. She will hopefully get the chunkier build of her mother with some length from her father. So far she seems to be doing just that. She will likely have crazy wide horns as both her parents do. Her legs and feet are straight and healthy. No worming needed, no respiratory issues thus far. Brenna is very maternal and keeps her lambs glued to her side always. Blíð is definitely the poser of the two sisters! The Arabian vs the Quarter horse for sure.

Catriona (NFS)
Single Black Badgerface Ewe out of Isafold Depill and Hardy Stock Fëa. Carries spotting, may carry moorit. She is an F4 Jonas daughter, and has some nice Dancing Lamb genetics in her pedigree. She is our best growing single ewe lamb this year, and has grown above average thus far. This is out of a first time mama, which is always a bonus. She has amazing fleece, and honestly looks like a giant marshmallow. She looks very nicely put together with a deep, broad chest, good loin width, good body length, and very evenly balanced. She is likely going to be a chunky girl with good carcass traits since she gets that from both parents. Milkiness will hopefully be on the high side, as Fëa has had nice dairy production, and she should be getting good dairy from her dad.

Above you will find information on each individual lamb in depth. A great deal can be learnt about an individual by viewing their parents and offspring both, so we encourage you take a look at their parents on our ram and ewe page.
There will be some easy info by the photo of each sheep, but if you click read more you will find even more details about each individual on the following page.
If there is a NFS (Not for Sale) listed on any of the sheep, it means we will not part with them for any price, so we have indicated this so you need not waste any of your precious time for something that we cannot provide. Time is precious, and we want this smooth and easy for you!
If a sheep has no price, it means we aren’t actively looking for a home, but if you were really attached to that sheep we may be willing to sell him or her. This will always be up to us if we are willing to part with that individual and if we feel they are a good fit for your situation.
If a sheep has a price with it, it means it is for sale, and it is the price that is listed. Without a deposit, the animal will remain for sale for any person that comes along willing to put a deposit. If an animal says pending it means we have a deposit and that animal is not available unless the sale falls through.
We always reserve the right to not sell an animal to any home we feel it would not be a good fit for. We want success for both the animal and you, so we will not knowingly put either of you in a bad situation. If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
